A ‘Math Fiesta 2015', a weeklong mathemaical celebration was held in Alif International School, Riyadh. As part of ‘Math Fiesta', which was held in connection with the 128th birth anniversary celebrations of the great genius Dr. Srinivasa Ramanujan, a number of programs and competitions were conducted in the campus with the aim of mathematical aptitude and talent development. Hiba Basheer (IX) and Ehsan Basheer (III) were crowned as the ‘Math Genius' and ‘Budding Genius' respectively. Winners: Quiz Competition-Senior: Shedha Fathima (VI A) and Najiya Fathima (VII A), Junior: Areeba (V B), Ehsan Basheer (III C); Memory test on Pi - Habeeba Abbas (IX A); Mathematical Pyramid - Senior: Hiba Basheer (IX A), Junior: Areej Ali (V A); Rubik's Cube Puzzle - Senior: Hiba Basheer (IX A) and Nada Sanam (VIII), Junior: Shahma (V B); Table Test - Ehsan Basheer (III C); Memory Test - Senior: Salma Kamaludheen (IX), Junior: Laiba Khalid (V A). GTRR game - Fathimathul Shifana (VIII A) and Sajida Banu (VIII A); Drawing Shapes - Ehsan Basheer (III C); Counting Shapes - Muhammed Sabith (III D) Alif School Chairman T.P Alikunhi Maulavi gave an inspirational speech, Director Luqman Pazhur inaugurated the function and gave prizes for winners. School Principal K.C. Muhammed Shaijal presided over the function and crowned Hiba Basheer and Ehsan Basheer, CEO Mahmood Abbas Sirkooti congratulated the winners. Head Mistress Dr. Daisamma Jacob, KG Coordinator Ms. Sonia Mustafa staff members Ms. Muneera Usman, Ms. Bijila and Ms. Nissa S.H gave leadership for the program.
