RIYADH – “Goodbye Kindergarten 13” program was celebrated with fervor at the premises of Alif International School. The graduation ceremony of this year's upper kindergarten batches and the splendid cultural programs by the KG students were the key attractions of the day. Excitement and happiness was evident on the children's faces. “We are no more Kindergarten babies. Now we are gonna step into elementary school. So I am very happy today,” said Reethaj Muhammed of UKG who comes from Nigeria. Alif Educational Trust Chairman T.P Alikunhi Moulavi inaugurated the function. Chairman crowned Egyptian natioanl Sajida Thamir Ahmed, topper of all kindergarten classes. School Principal K.C Muhammed Shaijal presided over the function. Kindergarten coordinator Farheen Fathima delivered the graduation message. Trust Executive Director Luqman Pazhur wished the children success. Academic Coordinator Ayemon Faruque Khan gave the welcome speech and Mazin Zaman Babar proposed the vote of thanks. All the students were crowned with graduation caps by various teachers. As part of the function, the children put up an amazing show of different cultural programs. The re-mix dances from the popular Bollywood numbers like “Zubi Zubi,” “Bumbum Bole,” “Choti Si Asha” and Arabic album “Ya mamma” enthralled the audience. The depiction of Alka Yagnik's famous rhyme “Mulberry Bushes,” dance drama “Jungle Theme,” “Butterfly Dance” garnered appraisals from everyone. “We are very delighted. The kids performed brilliantly,” said Khulood Mohanned, mother of Azil from UKG. The program would not have been possible without the efforts of Khan, Fathima, and staff members including Kutheja Bi siddique, Shafiya Fathima, Swaliha, Regina, Noora Ali, Sonia, Hafsa and Yusuf Usman. – SG
