Juniors Yellow, Seniors Blue win in Gensoul tourney

JEDDAH — Junior Yellow of coach Raffy David defeated Red 83-77 in the 3rd season Fame Gensoul Basketball tournament here.
Both teams played running game up to the final quarter. The loser missed important basket in the dying minutes of the game. Gerry Acosta top scored with 58 points for the winner and was adjudged the Best Player of the Game. Mohammad Acub scored 28 points for the loser.
The Fame Gensoul tournament is being held under the leadership of Sam Sabangan, Joel Silvestre, Edwin Gonzales (tournament commissioner), Nak Santiago, Andy Eslabon and Vicky Navarro.
Midget Red of coach Sam Sabangan beat Yellow 49-39. Frederick Angadol netted 17 points for the winner and was named the Best Player of the Game. John Moses Sadang scored 23 points for the loser.
Junior Black of coach Donald Dolloso defeated Grey Team 67-59. John Michael Sarsoza scored 28 points for the winner and was adjudged the Best Player of the game, while Herian Jake Sena had 33 points for the loser.
Midget Orange of coach Glenn Musngi beat Violet 49-23. Vin Harley Musngi scored 19 points for the winner and picked up the Gensoul Player of the Game prize. Kim Santiago had 8 points for the loser cause.
Senior Blue of coach Alex Musngi defeated White team 81-74. Raffy David had 48 points for the winner and was picked the Best Player of the Game. Ahmad Alonto netted 24 points for the loser.
In Thursday matches, Seniors Yellow of coach JJ Hernandez beat Red 80-75. Jayson Ricamara notched 29 points for the winner and to be named the Best Player of the Game. Jomar Nalus had 19 points for the loser.
Junior Violet of coach Henry Alipante defeated Black Team 50-40 as Charles Granadino had 22 points for the winner. He picked up the Player of the Game honors. Job Emmanuel Acedera scored 10 points for the loser.
Midget Grey of coach Ali Gaspar beat Yellow 58-46. Alexander Adam Romualdo scored 18 points for the winner and was pronounced Best Player of the Game. John Moses Sadang scored 15 points for the loser.
Juniors Grey of coach Ali defeated Blue Team 66-58. Prince Del Rosario collected 22 points for the winner and was named the Best Player of the Game. Rafael Gino Oliva gathered 15 points for the loser.
