JEDDAH — The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has warned that most regions of Saudi Arabia will continue to be affected by moderate to heavy thunderstorms from Wednesday until next Sunday. There is a possibility for moderate to heavy rain, accompanied by dust storms reaching speeds of 60 km/h along with flash floods and hail in various governorates of Makkah region. These governorates include the Makkah city, Jeddah, Rabigh, Al-Jumum, Al-Kamil, Bahra, Al-Laith, Qunfudhah, Taif, Adham, Maysan, Al-Ardiyat, Al-Mawiya, Al-Khormah Raniyah, and Turbah. The regions of Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, the Eastern Province, the Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Al-Baha, and Jazan will experience light to moderate rains accompanied by active downdrafts that raise dust and sand from Wednesday until Sunday. Most governorates of the Madinah region, including Madinah, Khaybar, Badr, Al-Mahd, Wadi Al-Fara, and Hanakiyah will be affected by moderate to heavy rain, accompanied by dust storms reaching speeds of 60 km/h, flash floods, and hail. Al-Baha region will be affected by moderate to heavy rains accompanied by dust storms reaching speeds of 60 km/h, flash floods and hail. Most parts of the Asir region will be experienced by moderate to heavy rains, with the heaviest rainfall expected on Friday and Saturday, accompanied by downdrafts that raise dust and sand, reaching speeds of 60 km/h, flash floods, and hail. The Jazan region is expected to experience moderate to heavy rains, accompanied by downdrafts that raise dust and sand, reaching speeds of 60 km/h, flash floods, and hail. The Najran region is also affected by moderate rains, accompanied by downdrafts that raise dust and sand, flash floods, and hail.
