JEDDAH — Tropang Bakhs made short work of Leylati 104-79 to book a berth in the semifinal round from Group B in the PEAK-JBL Basketball Tournament at the Al-Baik basketball court in Khalidia District here. Tropang Bakhs played a well- organized game throughout. Camina scored 24 points for the winner and was adjudged PEAK Sodas Sports best player of the game. Hugo scored 31 points for the loser. Juniors Black Team of coach Elner Paner edged Juniors White Team 65-63. Again the game was decided in the last seconds with the loser holding lead by 4 points. But the winner's man-to-man defense plus a run and gun offense tilted the balance. King Acosta scored 35 points for the winner and was adjudged PEAK Sodas Sports best player of the game. Ahmad Alonto and Densen Dolloso contributed 24 and 12 points, respectively, for the loser. Awarding of trophies after the game was spearheaded by the organizing committee with the assistance of Gensoul Office, headed by coach Sam Sabangan, Edwin Gonzales and Joel Silvestre and the untiring effort of coach Donald Dolloso. Desert Warriors thrashed Gensoul 112-86 in the 40 and above division. The winner was unstoppable in its outside snipping.
