JEDDAH — Our prime responsibility is to serve community said Tahseem-ul-Haq Haqqi, Welfare Attache at Consulate General Pakistan at a reception hosted by Syed Riaz Hussain Bukhari, convener Pakistan National Solidarity Forum (PNSF). The event was hosted to felicitate Saith Abid and Malik Azmat Hyatt on their massive victory in local bodies Punjab (Pakistan) election 2015 from Kasur and Chakwal Districts respectively at Salt & Pepper Restaurant Aziziyah. Haqqi congratulated the successful candidates and hoped that the winning candidates will take up the responsibilities and challenges of development in their localities. He said overseas Pakistanis are always very important for the consulate particular for welfare section, therefore, our prime responsibility is to serve overseas Pakistanis. Our doors are open for all compatriots. our new Consul General Shehryar Akbar Khan is also very cordial and wished closer relations between community and consulate. He called on community advocates to bring difficulties and suggestions for the improvement of the consular services. He said our identity is Pakistan. We should be proud of our motherland and we all should endeavor to contribute to the nation building efforts. He appreciated Riaz Bukhari's efforts in the formation of PNSF, which is true voice of overseas Pakistanis. Under a collective platform community organization should have one thing in common, a commitment to a stronger, stable and prosperous Pakistan, Haqqi said. Earlier the program began with the recitation of few verses from Holy Qur'an by Qari Khalid. Convener Riaz Bukhari welcomed all guests and speakers. He also thanked their participation. He congratulated Saith Abid and Malik Mohiuddin, brother of Malik Azmat Hyatt who was in Pakistan. He said, "I am pleased that Saith Abid won the election as an independent candidate. He is overseas Pakistani and has been elected chairman Union Council Ward-76 Habib Abad of District Kasur. While Malik Azmat has been elected chairman Union Council Ward-41 Chakwal district." Bukhari hoped that Saith Abid will work hard and play a critical role for the welfare and services of overseas Pakistanis. Distinguished community members also expressed his views and congratulated Saith Abid and Malik Azmat.
