Rich tributes were paid to noted philosopher, thinker and poet Allama Iqbal at a function to mark his 131st birth anniversary here this week. Renowned poet and writer Naseem-e-Sehar presided over the function organized by Pakistan Repatriation Council (PRC). Other guests included Qari Shakil Ahmed, President Pakistan Muslim League (N), Syed Riaz H. Bukhari, President Pakistan Peoples Community, Tasawwar Choudhry, Ilyas Meher, Pakistan Journalists Forum's Shahid Nayeem, Amir M. Khan, Maqboolur Rahman Abbasi, M. Jamil Rathore, Arsalan Hashmi, Rauf Tahir, Muslim Welfare & Dev. Organization's Abu Farhan Siddiqui, Jammu Kashmir Community's Chairman Ghulam Nabi Butt, Muhibban Pakistan Overseas incharge M. Ateequr Rahman, community leaders Malik Mohiuddin, Shaikh Mohammad Luqman, Mohammad Ashfaque Badauni, Tariq Mahmoud, Gulab Khan. Speakers also highlighted the issue of repatriation of stranded Pakistanis in Bangladesh and sought peaceful resolution of the Kashmir problem.
