JEDDAH — Patriotic couplets on the colorful banner on the stage at the function organized by newly formed Pakistan National Solidarity Forum (PNSF) commemorated the golden jubilee of 1965 war with India and paid homage to the martyrs and ‘ghazis' of the war for their role towards the defense of the motherland. The event was held at Spicy (Spenzer) restaurant Tahlia Street. Mian Zulfiqar veteran philanthropist and senior member from Pakistani community presided over the gathering. Former broadcaster of Radio PakistanKarachi station Ashfaq Badayouni graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The program began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an by Qari Faiz-ul-Haque and Naat by Sher Afzal. Poets Syed Mohsin Alvi, Zamurrad Khan Saifi and Ather Nafees Abbasi presented poems titled “Difa-e-Pakistan”
Chief Organizer PNSF Syed Riaz Hussain Bukhari welcomed all guests, poets, speakers and media representatives. He also thanked the participation of the members of leading social and welfare organization of Pakistani community from whom the PNSF was derived. Nosherwan Khattak saluted the men who lost their lives in fighting for their country. Tasawwer Hussain Choudhry praised the exceptional flying skill and valor displayed by Squadron Leader M. M. Alam. Saif Ullah Qusoori congratulated PNSF to organized the function. Sardar Arif Khan, Sardar Ashfaq, Afzal Choudhry and Urdu writer Saeed Ahmed Khan paid tributes to the martyrs of war. They appealed to UN Security Council (UNSC) to take notice of the escalating incidents of firing in Jammu and Kashmir region. Rafi Ullah Amir Jamiat-ul-Ulmai Islam (JUI) Saudi Arabia made supplications for peace, stability, prosperity and security of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and all Muslim Ummah.
