JEDDAH — Moderate to heavy thundershowers accompanied by strong winds and low visibility are expected from Tuesday to Wednesday in Al-Jouf, Northern Border, Hail, Madinah and Makkah provinces. The coastal cities of Yanbu, Rabigh, Jeddah and Al-Leeth will also be affected, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the Presidency of Meteorology and the Environment (PME) as saying on Sunday. Moderate to heavy thundershowers with strong winds and low visibility are expected to affect the Eastern Province, especially its northern parts like Hafr Al-Batin and Al-Qaissoumah from Wednesday until Thursday. Cold winds are expected in the northern, eastern, central and western parts of the Kingdom beginning Friday. Temperatures will drop considerably with active northerly winds. PME called on citizens and expatriates including seafarers, fishermen and highway users to exercise caution.
