The Presidency of Meteorology and the Environment (PME) expects medium to heavy rainfall over the northern and western regions of the Kingdom. There is also light to medium rainfall expected over Makkah and Madina regions including the two regions' coastal areas, the eastern parts of Jeddah governorate, Hail and Al-Qassim. There is also rain forecast for the northern parts of Riyadh and the Eastern Province. The rains will be accompanied by active winds with speeds reaching 45 kilometers an hour. There will also be wind of about 55 kilometers an hour over the northern and central parts of the Red Sea with waves ranging between 1.5 and three meters high. This includes the Arabian Gulf. Hussein Al-Qahtani, PME's official spokesman, called on seafarers, fishermen and expressway users to take precautions in the fluctuating weather.
