A gang of young men and women blackmailed young men after gaining their personal information gleaned from their stolen wallets, Al-Hayat reported. Madinah Police spokesman Fahd Al-Ghannam said the gang would target young men on Tango and Keek and seduce them to an apartment rented by one of the gang members. "The young men would fall into the gang's snare thinking they would meet a girl whom they have been chatting with. The girls would welcome the men in and they would enter a private room in the apartment," said Al-Ghannam. He added the men would start to get comfortable with the girls and the rest of the male gang members would then barge in claiming they are brothers of the girl. "The gang members would then beat up the victim and strip him from all of his clothes. They would take pictures of him naked and bruised and steal his wallet, all credit and debit cards and bank account information," said Al-Ghannam. He also said the gang would lock the victim in the room and withdraw money from his account. "Before releasing him, the gang members would make the victim sign a written confession that he entered the apartment and had sex with their sister. He also pledges not to report the gang and not to attempt to contact them again," said Al-Ghannam. He added the case was hard to crack as most of the victim did not report the incident out of fear of being exposed. "The gang would change its contacts and locations after every case. The police were finally able to arrest a woman and two men who were the leaders of the gang. The rest of the gang members were arrested afterwards. They all confessed of their crimes upon sustained interrogation. They said they would scourge for girls in shopping centers and ask them to be seducers in their crimes," said Al-Ghannam.
