National Citrus Festival, which was inaugurated here last week under the patronage of Prince Mish'al Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Najran region, has attracted more than 10,000 visitors so far. The event's executive director, Khaled Al-Awadh, has disclosed that the festival included six scientific sessions, during which specialists from Saudi Arabia and abroad discussed citrus production and modern methods for irrigation. “They also reviewed the roles of Horticulture Research Development Center and its local and global achievements in the development and marketing of citrus products,” he said.
