Prince Fahd Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Tabuk, will lay the keystone for the SR340 million Tabuk-Madina highway project next Sunday. The Minister of Transport Dr. Jabarah Bin Eid Al-Suraisiry said: “The ministry has started implementing this vital project and has already finished 78 kilometers on the highway which is designed to be one of the main roads in the Kingdom.” The 588-kilometer-long two-way road has four lanes on each side with shoulders, 106 bridges and 24 intersections. The minister said: “This road will shorten the distance between Madina and Tabuk by 100 kilometers and will facilitate traffic between Madina and Tabuk, especially during the Haj and Umrah seasons.”
