The Saudi Ministry of Labor will soon announce details of the mechanism to implement measures against Tasator (i.e, giving visas to foreigners and working illegally for others rather than their own sponsors), said Adel Fakieh, Minister of Labor. The minister gave his comment to Saudi Gazette during the annual event of BRJ (Bab Rizq Jameel) - the social initiative program of Abdulatif Jameel Tuesday at Abdulatif Jameel Company headquarters. “The ministry found that there are large number of small enterprises (business) that completely lack Saudi employees which lead his ministry to review their services,” he added. Eng. Mohammad Abdulatif Jameel thanked all sectors which cooperate with BRJ including Human Resources Development Fund, Saudi Credit and Saving bank, labor offices and all provinces in the Kingdom. “Each director general of any company has two main duties, first, to manage his company and work to increase its profits. Second, he must serve his society through the social responsibility programs to help the citizens depending on them,” he added. He further said that Nitaqat will play a vital role to provide many work opportunities for Saudi youth. “The private sector must work with government to find solutions for the unemployment issue by opening the chance to hire Saudis,” he said. The Minister of Labor also launched BRJ Awards for small enterprises during the ceremony. Commenting on the companies which cooperate with Nitaqat System, said the Minister of Labor through Nitaqat will help these companies by making the process of recruiting foreign experts moves easily under the condition of hiring Saudis according to the announced percentage. BRJ provided more than 45,000 work opportunities for Saudis in 2010 and planning to provide more than 51,000 in 2011. It was created in 2007 to address the issue of unemployment in the Kingdom. Bab Rizq Jameel means “the gateway to prosperity” through which young males and females find jobs and make their living. During the period 2003 to the end of 2010, BRJ created 183,988 jobs through its 30 branches in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria and Turkey. BRJ helps to found the following institutes: The Saudi Japanese Automobile High Institute (SJAHI), Saudi Institute for Health Services (SIHS), AlJ Auto Denting and Painting Institute, Nafisa Shams Academy for Arts and Crafts, Bab Rizq Jameel PSTA Foustat Cairo, in addition to BRJ in Egypt, Syria, and Turkey. The ceremony included documentary about the activities of BRJ in 2010 as well as its future plans. __
