Kanoo Travel set up SIPCO Premier Division final against Babar Toor-XI after beating Jawar Al Jazira and Natco here recently. The first semifinal saw Babar Toor beat Natco by 119 runs while Kanoo Travel edged Jawar Al Jazira by four runs in the second semifinals of the event organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) and sponsored by (SIPCO)-Saudi Industrial Projects Company. Babar Toor-XI batting first piled up 179 all out in 19 overs. Imran Choudhary hit 60, Majid made a quick-fire 55, while Hashim Khan added 15 runs. Omar bagged 3-24, Imran 2-27, Humayun Farooq 2-37, Atta-Ur-Rehman 2-38 and Ashique Ali 1-27 for Natco. In reply Natco collapsed and could score only 60-8 in its quota of 20 overs, losing the match by 119 runs. Abdul Rauf scored 14 and Omar added 12. Shahzad Rana took 4-9, Majid 2-14 and Zahid Reza 1-18. The other semifinal saw Kanoo Travel take the strike first and scoring 182-3 in its quota of 18 overs. Wajid Samdani scored 56 runs not out, Athar Abdul Quddus hit 60, Wahajuddin added 26, while Syed Kaleem made 14 runs. Ramzan grabbed 1-8, Yassir took 1-15 and Adnan 1-32 for Jawar Al Jazira. In reply Jawar Al Jazira fell short by four runs, mustering only 178-7 in the allotted 18 overs. Shahzad made 74 runs, Asim made 44, Adnan 15, Sajid 14 and Shan Manzoor 11. Fast bowler Akbar bagged a hat trick (3-29), Wahaj claimed 2-40 while Wajid Samdani took 2-31.
