The Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the King Abdullah Food Security Chair at King Saud University will sign an agreement to prepare a forecast study of the prices of basic products for the period 2012-2022. The study, covering a 10-year period, will provide detailed information about the prices of basic products, their countries of origin and the factors that influence price fluctuation. The agreement will be signed according to the memorandum of understanding signed by both parties. It seeks to support the goals of the food security committee and its academic research in the fields of food security as well as to benefit from the expertise of the King Abdullah Food Security Chair in preparing studies of this sort. It seeks to ensure Saudi food supplies and commodities are not affected by rising international prices.
