JEDDAH: The Board of Directors of Okaz Organization for Press and Publication has approved the general budget for the organization's sectors including a number of future projects with positive returns that will help achieve the organization's goals in accordance with a strategic vision encompassing the changes in the field of journalism. The vision arises from the expansion in press publication and the resolve to keep pace with the latest developments in both form and content. The meeting, which was held Thursday and chaired by Dr. Sa'ed Al-Orabi Al-Harithy, Chairman of the Board of Directors, studied the organization's projects to achieve its economic aims and boost its publications amid the current development and growth of press journalism. The board also approved the organization's budget for the training and development program which seeks to improve the standard of its employees and achieve qualitative change through training in the Kingdom and abroad. The board thanked the chairman of the Board of Directors and those charged with running the organization, including the administrative and editorial staff, for their considerable efforts to upgrade the standard of the organization and its employees. The meeting was attended by Dr. Waleed Hashim, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, and board members Dr. Hamoud Al- Badr, Abdullah Khayyat, Abdullah Kamel, Dr. Tariq Fad'aq and Hussein Shubukshi, as well as Waleed Jameel Kattan, Director General of Okaz Organization. Also in attendance was Ahmad Bin Sulaiman Al-Battah, Secretary of the Board of Directors.
