EKIS team unleashed a backbone breaking opener and a brilliant capper to masterfully clinch the title of the Filipino Expatriate Damayan Bowling Friday Morning Bowling League 10th conference at the expense of arch-rival Sabban Electro Mechanical Company at the Bowling City here. Team captain Ernie Geslani himself led the initial salvo with his devastating thrust of 236 which was solidly backed up by Cora Agas 235, Faisal Relativo 217, Zaldy Bacero 217, Rudy Carillo 206 and Alex Flora 198. Collectively posting 1,308, EKIS team marginally left Sabban EMC that could only parry with 1,117 on the 218 inspiration of team head Joel Nidoy. With an all-average show EKIS slowed down at 1,116 which trimmed its lead when Nidoy and team manager Rudy Jamon led Sabban's 1,192 retaliation with their 217 and 234 in Game 2. It was at this stage when EKIS stalwart Bacero did his job to superbly helm with 277 in Game 3 and with another unexpected 236 augmentation of Agas, plus the average support of the squad EKIS took home the crown on final tallies of 3,688-3,491 including their match finisher of 1,264-1,182. Bacero scored best for EKIS at 683 followed by Agas 651, Geslani 633, Relativo 600, Flora 581 and Carillo 540. Leading the board for first runner-up Sabban EMC was the team manager himself Rudy Jamon with 639, followed by the TC Joel Nidoy with 620, Malou Nidoy 598, Marcelo Manalo 566, Aisah Silabay 546 and Edu Toledo 522. Champion EKIS pursed SR10,000, Sabban EMC got SR7,000, Make My Day of Bobby Baraquel and Edward Botardo bagged SR5,000, Gulf Oil of Marlon Heredia and Nildo Tan received SR3,000, Globe pocketed SR2,000, Micah's Pride SR1,500 while No Fear, Lance & 3rdy, Bowling Idols, Pinoy Salo-salo, Dynamic Keglers, Bowlodrome Shark and Shawly Bowlers got their consolation prizes.
