Four fully-covered women allegedly cornered a girl at a mall and robbed her of SR1,200 at knifepoint. By the time the victim's brother reported the incident, the alleged culprits had fled. Shoppers expressed worry and anger as the news spread in the mall. The victim's brother, in a statement to Okaz/Saudi Gazette, said, “I dropped my sister at a mall in Al-Jami'ah District and waited for her inside the car. When she returned, she remained silent. I was surprised she didn't utter a word on our way back home. When she reached home, she broke into tears and started telling us how she had been robbed and threatened at knifepoint by four dark-skinned women.” Brig. Misfer Al-Juaid, Spokesman of Jeddah Police, urged women to report crime at the nearest police station. “Girls should give the description of the culprits so policemen can track them down and arrest them.” Al-Juaid urged all citizens and residents to do the same if they get robbed at malls. __
