King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) has approved a psychological orientation program for newcomers. The four-day program consists of educational, recreational and orientation activities and will be implemented from next Saturday. Dr. Mesfer Bin Muhammad Al-Zahrani, dean of student affairs at the university, said that the program will help students adapt to university life faster. “The organizing committee started working early on the program and completed it on time. Besides, other service departments completed their services and are ready to receive the new students,” said Dr. Al-Zahrani. The KFUPM continuously develops the orientation program to save time and effort for all students and make them psychologically ready for the first day of study. “The program introduces students to the university's regulations and bylaws.” Dr. Al-Zahrani has made it compulsory for all new students to show up early and attend the orientation program together with the psychological rehabilitation program so that they can get ready for the new academic year. He said that it is compulsory for all fresh students to take the TOEFL test. __
