The Passports Department branches will be opened during Eid Al-Fitr holidays to process urgent transactions that cannot be delayed. This includes paperwork from Saudis and residents, said Lt. Col. Badr Bin Muhammad Al-Malek, spokesman of the department. The work in administrations and air, land and marine border crossing points is round-the-clock, he said, adding that all directors were instructed to supervise work flow and make sure all transactions are carried out without any undue delay. Patrols will also be on duty during the holiday period as per the directives of Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior. Eid holidays in public sector starts from Aug. 27 and continue till Sept. 3.
