Zain Saudi Arabia has organized a series of recreational activities for orphan children enrolled in a charity in Abha. The telecommunications company is organizing events in different regions of the Kingdom as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), which includes on-the-job training programs for Saudi youths. The recreational activities organized in the Asir region are an initiative taken by the company to ensure that Zain Saudi Arabia plays a significant role in educating children at an early age and making them part of mainstream Saudi society, a Zain public relations official told Saudi Gazette. “Zain Saudi Arabia will continue to offer its CSR services by extending cooperation at various levels with the relevant government and non-governmental organizations including social and cultural groups and charities across the Kingdom,” the official said. He said the children who attended the summer camp organized at a commercial mall in Abha demonstrated their talent and received applause from participants, which included visitors, Zain Saudi Arabia staff members and officials of the charity. “The children expressed their gratitude to the company for organizing the recreational activities and allowing them to demonstrate their talent at a day-long event,” he said. He said his company has already organized a number of similar events since the start of the summer vacation at supermarkets and shopping malls to highlight the talent of orphan children. __
