RIYADH: Zain Saudi Arabia, as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), recently signed an agreement with the Disabled Children Association (DCA) in Riyadh to support the association in its various activities aimed at helping physically challenged children and making it easier for them to be brought into mainstream society. Engr. Ahmed Al-Faifi, Chief Operating Officer, Zain Saudi Arabia, after signing the agreement with DCA said the accord between the two entities included a package of programs designed to support the rehabilitation services and education of over 3,300 disabled children enrolled at the association's various facilities in the Kingdom. Al-Faifi said the agreement with DCA also includes sending text messages to Zain Saudi Arabia customers in order to create awareness about the significance of helping disabled children and to invite them to support the programs the association has been engaged in for the benefit of physically challenged children. Text messages will also be sent to customers urging them to participate directly in charity work through direct donations, he said. Efforts will be made to increase private sector participation in developing new programs in which people can sponsor DCA activities or extend other assistance to help disabled children, Al-Faifi said, underscoring the activities of his company's corporate social responsibility (CSR). “Reaching out to disabled children is the noblest form of charity work for Zain Saudi Arabia,” he added. He said through the agreement with DCA, Zain Saudi Arabia has made it possible for its customers to donate to disabled children by calling 5050.
