Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) League is set for finals in its three divisions – Premier, Morning and Afternoon – this Friday. In the Afternoon League semis, UCC won against Al-Safri XI and Crown Blue defeated AMI Juffali while in the Morning event Attieh Steel tumbled My Care Hala White and My Care Green defeated Crown White to qualify for the final. It will be Zultec versus My Care Hala in the Premier Division. All three finals will be played next Friday 2 P.M. In the Afternoon session, Al-Safri XI piled up 198-2 against United CC through Ghayour (92 n.o.) and Aftab (82). They posted an unbroken 167 runs partnership for the third wicket. Sarfaraz took 2-28. United achieved the winning target (201-6) as Junaid stroked an unbeaten 51, Aftab 42, Shahnawaz 41 and Amir Shahzad 23. Waseeq grabbed 2-31 and Omer 2-35. AMI Juffali put up 169-8 against Crown Blue with only Imran contributing an unbeaten 82. Murtuza claimed 3 for 39. Crown Blue, in response, was home with 171 for 2 as Fahad hit an unbeaten 73, Rashid made 37 and Hasanat 28 not out. In the Morning event, My Care Hala White put into bat by Attieh Steel racked up 230-7 in 18 overs. Abdul Moeed compiled 88 and Shamsuddin smashed 53 in just 16 balls. Kashif scalped 4-30 and Mohammed Qureshi 2-42. Attieh Steel chasing almost 13 runs per over was home with 5 balls to spare (232-6). Farid Afridi topscored with 61 in 21 balls, Ashfaque made 43, Kashif 30 and Shahid 30. Sohail took 2-37 and Salman 2-39. My Care Hala Green piled up 177-6 as Awais scored 40, Mudassir 43 and Naeem 38. Sajjad and Kamran took 3 wickets each. Crown White was then restricted to 145-8 as Attaullah took 2-18 and Mudassir 2 wickets.
