Abdul Salik Khan, Consul General of Pakistan, Monday called on Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulmohsin Al-Turki, Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL), and discussed with him matters of mutual interest. Khan said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy close fraternal relations which have stood the test of the time. He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were strategic partners and the two states share common strategic vision. “Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are source of strength for each other,” he added. “Saudi Arabia has always helped Pakistan during difficult times for which we are grateful to the leadership and the people of Saudi Arabia,” he said. Khan said enhanced economic cooperation was necessary for economic prosperity of the Muslim Ummah. He appreciated the role of the Muslim World League in maintaining unity of the Ummah and support for Pakistan at international forums. Dr. Al-Turki said that Pakistan was an important country for Muslim Ummah and expressed the hope that the challenges confronted by Pakistan will be resolved soon. He underlined the need for more unity amongst Muslim countries. He also prayed for the stability and prosperity of Pakistan.
