Pak Makkah and AMI Juffali shine in WPCA

JEDDAH: Pak Makkah XI defeated Arif Gymkhana, AMI Juffali downed Jotun Paints, Nestle Milo thrashed Contraco while My Care Hala Blue beat Usman Gems Green in the Summer Afternoon here last Friday.
The tournament, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center, is being played at WPCA.
Contraco batting first against Nestle Milo scored 175 for 7 in 20 overs through Saleem making 46 in 20 balls as Irfan Qadir scored 24. Rumaish grabbed 4 for 14 for Nestle Milo.
Nestle Milo chased the winning target of 176 for 5 in 17.3 overs with Faiyyaz top scoring with unbeaten 44 in 23 balls, Mushtaq 39, Asim 30 and Rumaish 30. Tahir took 2-23 and Irfan 2-33.
Arif Gymkhana batting first against Pak XI put 159 for 5 on the board with opener Imran making 70 in 31 balls studded with 12 fours and a six as Amjad scored 21 and Mahmood 20.
Pak Makkah Eleven was home with 162 for 6 with 5 balls to spare as Waseem scored 59, Yaqoob 30, Faisal 24 and Shoukat 19.
In Match No. 19, AMI Juffali against Jotun Paints plundered 192 for 7 in allotted 20 overs as opener Emaad smashed 66 in 37 balls studded with 10 fours while Mustafa retired for 35 and Sufian remained unbeaten on 21. Ataullah took 2-23 and Shafeeq 2-34 respectively for Painters.
Jotun Paints in response was restricted to 132 for 7 in allotted overs as Asif grabbed 3-13 with only Ijaz painstakingly making 45 in 47 balls and Saleem Butt stroking 41.
In the last match of the day Usman Gems Green put up 163 for 9 on the board in 20 overs against My Care Hala Blue through prolific Iqbal hitting 10 boundaries to score 59 in 35 balls and Irfan making 34 as Kashan stroked 20. Usman grabbed 3-29 and A. Aleem scalped 2-23.
In reply My Care Hala Blue scored 164 for 4 in 95 balls as Talha smashed 9 hits to the ropes to score 47 in 31 balls, Imran made 25, Aleem 22 and Junaid remained unbeaten on 21 to achieve the winning target. Abdul Rauf took 2
