JEDDAH: Police have arrested two persons over the murder last Wednesday of an Indonesian woman who worked as a seamstress in the Al-Subail district of Jeddah. Police were first given their lead to the suspects, both of Indonesian nationality, by a woman who lived with the victim and revealed to police that the pair had prior to the crime asked her to vacate the house and leave the door open. After their arrest they confessed to investigators and told them that they had targeted the victim as they “wished to teach her a lesson” for “having recently caused lots of problems”. They reportedly bound her up with plastic tape and stole many of her possessions in an attempt to make it look like a robbery. The woman was still alive when they left the property and died later. A police spokesman said that all three of the suspects involved in the crime were Indonesian and that investigations were continuing.
