Fourteen people are now being held for questioning by police in connection with last week's murder of an 80-year-old man in Taif's Al-Hawiya District. According to sources, the chief suspect, the deceased's Indonesian housemaid who was arrested along with three other persons of the same nationality at an apartment in Makkah on Thursday, has confessed to the crime. The other persons being questioned are thought to have enabled her to escape to Makkah, but it is not known if they were aware of her crime. The victim's body was found at his home last Wednesday, two days after he was killed. A meat cleaver, thought to be the murder weapon, was found lying next to him. Money and jewels were also reportedly stolen from the victim's home.
