A man was arrested on Monday two hours after allegedly stabbing to death a relative in a street in Bahra. The victim, who was in his fifties, was reportedly stabbed ten times in the back and the heart in a side street of the district and information recovered from the crime scene led investigators to identify a relative as a potential suspect. Officers located the man and found he had an injury to his hand that he was unable to explain to the satisfaction of his interrogators. A police spokesman said that the suspect confessed to the murder shortly after and claimed he was driven by motives of “revenge”.
