MADINA: A businesswoman here has accused her driver of raping and threatening to kill her. The case is being investigated by the Honor and Morals Circuit at the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution (BIP) in Madina. The woman first reported the incident to the police at the Airport in Madina. The case was referred to the BIP after the accused and the alleged rape victim gave their testimony. The woman told Okaz/Saudi Gazette staff in Madina that she first met the man after she had concluded a deal at a rest house. At this point she said he had offered her a lift to her workplace in his private car and said he needed a job. Her family then offered him work as a family driver for SR800 a month. She said her family trusted him and he continued taking her to the office and shops in Al-Hadayek and malls in Madina. She claimed that one evening she told him to take her to usual destination. In the car she had smelt a strange odor coming from him and also found the car doors locked. She was concerned and ordered him to take her to her mother's home. Instead she said he drove her to a deserted area behind a junkyard in Madina where he threatened to kill her and feed her to stray dogs if she screamed. She claimed that she broke into tears and offered him SR28,000, all the money in her possession, to free her. But he turned down the offer, aimed his pistol at her face and started raping her. After committing the alleged crime, she said she wanted to go home. He again allegedly threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident. However, this did not stop her from reporting the alleged crime to the police.
