MADINA: The Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution (BIP) has summoned several female friends of the businesswoman who was allegedly raped to provide their testimonies, security sources told Okaz/Saudi Gazette. The sources said the businesswoman requested her female friends, who were present with her moments before the alleged sexual assault, to give their testimonies to investigators. She told investigators that all the women who were with her have secret information confirming her statement. According to information received by Okaz/Saudi Gazette, the businesswoman was accompanied by a number of other businesswomen and female friends at a recreation park in western Madina to conduct some commercial activities. The businesswoman left the park minutes before midnight. Shortly afterwards she was allegedly raped by her driver about 25 km east of Madina in a deserted area behind Prince Muhammad Bin Abdul Aziz International Airport, she told the security authorities. The Honor and Morals Circuit in the BIP is still conducting investigations of all parties concerned. The security authorities have a 20-year-old Saudi driver in custody. The woman earlier told Okaz/Saudi Gazette staff in Madina that she first met the man after she had concluded a deal at a rest house a while ago. Afterwards she said he had offered her a lift to her workplace in his private car and said he needed a job. Her family then offered him work as a family driver for SR800 a month. She said her family trusted him and he continued taking her to the office and shops in Al-Hadayek and malls in Madina. On the night of the alleged rape, she claimed that he threatened to kill her and feed her to stray dogs if she screamed. She claimed that she broke into tears and offered him SR28,000, all the money in her possession, to free her. But he turned down the offer, aimed his pistol at her face and started raping her. After committing the alleged crime, she said she wanted to go home. He again allegedly threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident. However, this did not stop her from reporting the alleged crime to the police.
