The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India association in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah chapter), which was established in 1990, recently held its annual event at the auditorium of Al Shallal Park. The event was attended by association members, sponsors, and guests. Chairman Ravish Tatli reviewed the chapter's activities and commended the efforts put in by committee members during the past year to provide seven quality technical sessions with renowned speakers from various fields. He briefed members on the association's financial position for 2010 which will enable it to bring speakers from India this year. He thanked all sponsors and members for their support and committee members who worked tirelessly to make the evening a success. A raffle with over 100 prizes was held comprising products ranging from airline tickets, LCD television sets, laptops, gift vouchers, cell phones, wrist watches, perfume sets, gold coins and other electronic items. Sajjadali Gulam Hussein won two round-trip airline tickets to Mumbai, sponsored by Roche Diagnostics; Farooq Vaid won an iPad sponsored by Ernst & Young; Mansur Deewanji, Mustansir Bharmal and Dilip Tiwari won Dell laptops sponsored by Price Waterhouse Coopers; Kenneth Hickman, Sarfaraz Khitani and Vishwanath Karkera won round-trip airline tickets for Mumbai sponsored by Unitrans Budget, Arabasco and Kanoo Travel respectively. Each member was presented with a Titan watch, a perfume pack sponsored by Al-Hussain and Al-Yahya Investment Group and Avon respectively.
