JEDDAH: The 14th Kanoo AXA Maersk Inter-Division Cricket League 2010-11 for Western Province will kick off Friday. The league is jointly sponsored by Kanoo Group and co-sponsored by AXA Insurance and Maesrk Line. Kanoo Inter-Division Leagues are conducted by Kanoo Group of companies in all regions of the Kingdom for its employees and those of its joint venture, subsidiaries and associates as part of its corporate policy of promoting sports in general and cricket in particular. Kanoo Group aims to boost the morale of its employees, keep them mentally and physically fit, give them an opportunity to interact with staff and managers of different divisions thereby ensuring that employees are confident and well-motivated. Six teams participating in the event are Finance, Power & Industrial Projects, Freight, Travel, Commercial and new entrant Maersk Lions. All six teams will play each other in league matches of 15 overs on a single leg round robin basis. The top four teams will play the knockout of 20 overs to decide the winner and runner up. __
