JEDDAH: International Indian School Jeddah has achieved excellent results in the All India Senior Secondary Examination (Grade XII) conducted by the New Delhi-based Central Board of Secondary Education. The results were declared Monday. Out of the 463 students who appeared in the examination this year, 427 students secured first division, 36 students passed in second division and 15 students were placed in compartment. There were no failures at all, Masood Ahmad, IISJ Principal told Saudi Gazette. The remarkable feature this year, the principal said, was that 1,265 distinctions were obtained by the IISJ students in different subjects. Miss Wardah Mohammed Usman topped the school with 96.4 percent marks followed by Miss Adheela Abdul Raheem 96 percent and Miss Mehzabeen Chalukandy Peedikayil scoring 95.8 percent. Among the boys, Hammad Yusuf topped by scoring 95.4 percent followed by Fahad Ahmed who scored 93.4 percent and Muhammad Mir Mohiuddin with 93.2 percent. Girl students of International Indian School, Riyadh (IISR) performed better than boys by securing all top positions. IISR's Khalidha Noordeen secured the top position in the science stream with 96.2 percent while Rexy James scored 95 percent in commerce and Shibila got 84.8 percent in humanities. The girls have secured all other top positions with boy students nowhere to be seen in the toppers list. Noordeen has secured more than 95 percent marks in all subjects. Saima Haleem Siddiqui and Samia Akhtar have shared the second position by scoring 95.6 percent and Sharlotte Jincy Gigy stood third in the school with 95.2 percent. International Indian School Dammam's Midhun Krishna (Science) scored 96.6 percent and stood first in the school and in the Kingdom. Aishwarya Venugopal with 95.8 percent secured 2nd position in the school, while Sana Merchant secured 95.8 percent and stood first position in commerce stream. Tariq Ahsan Khan Jamal, Zainab Ateeq, Sauresh Varsha and Syeda Mariam Shifa with 95.6 percent shared the third position in IISD. The number of failures at IISR this year was 36 and those who failed in one subject were 52. M.J. Siddiqui, IISR Principal said Balakrishnan Nitish and Rajil Mathew have scored cent percent marks in mathematics and five boys scored 99 out of 100 marks.
