An Egyptian security chief says a car crash in the country's south has killed 12 members of one family. Gen. Salah Mouzeid says the accident took place early on Monday when the minibus the family was traveling in collided with another car near the village of al-Soubayrat, outside the southern city of Qena. Mouzeid says the family members were heading to the Qena prison to visit a relative. Qena is about 290 miles (465 kilometers) south of Cairo, AP reported.
