The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Campaign for the Relief of the Palestinian People in Gaza Strip has donated $5 million to secure basic foodstuff needs for the Palestinian refugee poor in Gaza through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). An agreement in this concern was signed here today between UNRWA General Commissioner Filippo Grande and the Executive Manager of the Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Palestinian People Mubarak Al-Bakr on the sidelines of the UNRWA Consultative Committee meetings being held over the last two days in Jordan. In a statement, Grande said late Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz was a strong supporter for Palestine refugees. Through his leadership of the Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Palestinian People and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Campaign for the Support of the People of Gaza he was instrumental in providing Palestine refugees, through UNRWA, with generous material support on repeated occasions. In recognition of his humanitarian efforts, the Agency is honored to establish a new fund in his name under the title 'Prince Naif Fund for Feeding the Most Poor in Gaza', Grande announced.
