The report of the campaign of his Royal Highness Prince Talal Bin Abdelaziz, the honorary president of Ibsar Association to Prepare and Serve Sight Disability revealed the sponsoring of teaching and preparing 15 thousand sight disabled persons in the kingdom as a national project to meet the policy of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulla bin Abdelaziz in its attention to support the educational process of the sight disabled people in the Kingdom. According to the report, the campaign aimed to increase the scientific abilities of the sight disabled people as well as their professional skills and notifying their families of the importance of providing them with education through buying 18,750 Braille teaching tool and distributing them to special education managements, families of the sight disabled and the sectors of the general social services, in addition to buying 1,500 computer screen reading programs and 3000 movement sticks and distributing them on the sight disabled people in addition to providing the required training programs. The General Secretary of the association Mohammad Tawfeeq Ballo clarified that the campaign included two phases, the first phase started with coordination with Ministry of Education and King Abdelaziz University, and then organizing a forum for 17 of the supervisors of the integration program in Mecca and Madena regions as well as the staff of the association in order to coordinate and organize the initiation of distributing the Braille teaching tool. Sight disabled ladies listening to the supervisor's explanation Ballo also pointed that the second phase of the campaign was launched in the closing ceremony of the Summer Hope Building Program that was organized by MMJ company under the patronage of his Royal Highness Prince Talal bin Abdelaziz Al Saud on the evening of Sunday 27/08/1431H. The report assured the success of the two phases of the campaign because it showed the importance of supporting the education and preparing the sight disabled people by the responsible authorities and some business sectors as well as the general public, in addition to the demand on learning Braille on a wider spectrum specially by the illiterate elders, where the total number of those benefited by the campaign reached 8,504 individuals that benefited from more than 20 training programs and awareness activities from inside and outside the Kingdom. The General Secretary of the Association assured that the total cost of executing the two phases of the company until 30/07/1432H of 3,685,180 Riyals included the costs of: Braille teaching tool costing 1,360,639 Riyals, Ibsar system program costing 180,000 Riyals, movement stick costing 7,200 Riyals, Summer Hope Building Program 1431 H costing 42,550 Riyals, while 2,094,791 Riyals were allocated for the training programs and activities of the association, Noor Ladies Institute and King Abdelaziz University. Ballo also clarified that 2,705,214 Riyals were provided for the campaign while the association paid the rest of the costs (980,566 Riyals) from the other association resources. Ballo concluded his statement by saying that the total cost of the third phase is 7,599,452 Riyals, noting that the buying of the Braille tools that are required for this phase were financed by some good doer with a value of 1,639,360 Riyals, which leaves 5,960,092 Riyals to be provided.
