The International Islamic Relief Organization of the Muslim World League (MWL) carried out a program for four days from August 6 to 10 to combat blindness in Tanzanian capital of Dar es Salaam, where doctors and specialists from various medical fields participated. The medical team including a number of senior consultants in ophthalmology conducted 500 cataract surgeries in addition to examining 4,000 eye patients, distributed 300 glasses and more than 260 medical drops. On the event, the Chargé d'Affaires of Saudi Embassy to Tanzania, Bandar Al-Hazani, visited the medical camp where was briefed on the efforts being exerted by the Muslim World League for this vital program in order to provide treatment for eye patients in Tanzania.
