Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz addressed the people of the Kingdom and Muslims all over the world on the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan. In a speech read on his behalf by Culture and Information Minister Dr. Awwad Saleh Al-Awwad, King Salman thanked Allah Almighty for blessing Muslims with the month of Ramadan, a month for worship and in which the Holy Quran was sent down as a guide to mankind, as a clear form of guidance and judgment. The King prayed to Allah to help Muslims fast during the month and perform their prayers. He prayed to Allah to grant the Kingdom continued success in serving the Two Holy Mosques and pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors. The King urged all Muslims to unify their ranks and to act as one human entity. The King recalled the recent Islamic summit in Riyadh as testimony to the Kingdom's determination to coordinate efforts to eradicate extremism and terrorism in all forms and manifestations to save humanity. He praised Allah for inception of the World Center for Combating Extremist Ideology to prove that Islam is a religion of moderation, mercy and co-existence.
