The Committee for Financial and Economic Cooperation of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States will hold its 106th meeting in the Kingdom of Bahrain on Thursday, 4 May 2017. The Committee will be briefed on the conclusions of the technical committees related to the development of appropriate mechanisms for the application of the two unified conventions on a value added tax and selective taxation signed by member states. The committee will also address a number of issues, including the recommendations of the Committee of Governors of Monetary Institutions and Central Banks of the GCC States on the linkage of payment systems in the GCC countries, and the Customs Union Authority regarding updating of the requirements of the GCC Customs Union.
