One person was killed and another abducted in an attack by five unidentified gunmen on a private resort in Sayhat town, Eastern Province, early Friday, police said. Col. Ziyad Al-Ruqaiti, Eastern Province Police's spokesman, said the men were masked and armed with machine guns. They fled to an unknown destination after the attack. The dead victim was found inside a car owned by the man who was abducted and was parked at the gate of the resort. Criminal investigations are underway to identify the attackers and their motives.
