Eastern Province Police recently arrested four men for attempting to steal an ATM machine. They chained the machine to their vehicle in an attempt to get the money. The attempt failed and they fled, only to be later arrested by the police. Lt. Col. Ziyad Al-Ruqaiti, spokesman for EP police, said three Saudis and an Arab expatriate were arrested after their failed attempt to steal the ATM machine. A driver who saw the accused chaining the ATM machine to their vehicle called the police and provided a description of the thieves, Lt. Col. Al-Ruqaiti added. “After an intensive search, we found that the perpetrators had used a stolen car in the attempted theft,” he said. __
