A video clip showing a thief attempting to steal a car from a Riyadh showroom went viral today. According to informed sources, the incident took place just before noon today when a 26-year-old man came to the showroom asking for the keys of a car from a Sudanese employee. He appeared to be wanting to examine the vehicle before making a purchase. He then sought to speed away with the car. When the employee tried to stop him, he stabbed him. The video footage also showed two uniformed policemen risking their lives to stop the audacious thief. The incident caused damage to eight other cars, which the man rammed into when trying to escape with the car. The injured employee was referred to hospital for treatment. A statement on the incident is expected to be issued soon.
