The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz arrived in Japan on Sunday as part of his seven-nation Asian tour. The King was received at Haneda International Airport in Tokyo by Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan, Saudi Ambassador to Japan Ahmed Younis Al-Barrak and officials of the Saudi Embassy . The King flew in from Indonesia, after official visits to Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam. In a statement released earlier, the Japanese Foreign Ministry expressed the Japanese government sincere welcome of the visit of King Salman and hoped it will further strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries. King Salman is scheduled to meet Emperor Akihito and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe during a four-day stay, the first visit by a Saudi king to Japan in 46 years. King Salman is expected to discuss a range of bilateral and regional issues, Saudi-Japanese cooperation within the framework of the Vision 2030, and commercial partnership.
