Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, started yesterday an official visit to Japan at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Upon his arrival in Tokyo, the Crown Prince said that his visit to Japan comes in the framework of the close historical relations between the two countries, and in the implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the development of all aspects of relations at the bilateral levels to enhance common interests and meet the aspirations of the two friendly peoples . The Crown Prince expressed his great pleasure over his visit to Japan, during which he will convey the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to Japanese Emperor Akihito, Crown Prince Naruhito, and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The Crown Prince also stressed the keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on continuing consultation and coordination on issues of common interest at the regional and international levels for the interest of the two countries and the strengthening of their roles in maintaining peace and security regionally and internationally . He looked forward that his visit to Japan contributes to developing the frameworks of relations between the two countries to deepen their cooperation, emphasizing the Kingdom's keenness and interest in this, and praising Japan's roles and contribution to the implementation of developmental programs in the Kingdom and its hosting of Saudi students at Japanese universities and institutes.
