The Director General of National Museum in Riyadh Jamal Omar has called on the public to visit the Exhibition of "The First Capitals of Islamic Culture" being organized by Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage represented by the National Museum in cooperation with German Pergamon Museum at the National Museum in Riyadh. He explained that the exhibition lasts for three months and ends on 26 Rajab, 1437 and receives visitors from 08: 00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m. every day, except Sunday from 08:00 am until 02:00 p.m. and on Friday from four o'clock in the afternoon until eight in the evening. The Director General added that this will be a unique opportunity to see a collection of the most precious artifacts displayed in one of the most important and famous museums in the world which is "Pergamon Museum" in Berlin, that reflects the Islamic civilization at its peak during Umayyad and Abbasid periods, indicating that the exhibition includes 104 artifacts from the pieces on display at the Pergamon Museum in addition to 21 archaeological pieces from the collection of the National Museum which reflects models of the Islamic civilization. It is noteworthy that Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage inaugurated the Exhibition on Friday 5/2/2016.
