By Uhood Markran Okaz/Saudi Gazette BERLIN – Four hundred of the Kingdom's most prized artifacts, some dating back to the Stone Age, will be on display at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin from Wednesday. Stefan Weber, Director of the Islamic Museum at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin, told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that this is the first time the history of the Arabian Peninsula and the Kingdom's ancient artifacts will be on display in Germany. “The Kingdom is in a very important strategic location. It is a link between cultures of the east and west.” The museum will display Islamic archeological pieces about the history of the Ka'ba and Makkah with a focus on the areas where Islam spread, Weber explained. There are also Islamic mosaics on display. The exhibition will be held in the northern section of the Pergamon Museum. The exhibition will be opened Wednesday by Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities. These treasures have been showcased at the Louvre Museum in Paris, the State Hermitage Museum in Russia and the Acacia Museum in Spain. __
