A resolution, presented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan at the United Nations Human Rights Council, denouncing Israel for violations in Gazam was successfully adopted today. The resolution demanded Israel to live up to its international legal commitments in the field of human rights and Geneva IV Convention and guarantee the respect and application of human international law in the occupied Palestinian territories, including the occupied Eastern Al-Quds according to the First Article shared by Geneva conventions. It also calls for living up to its commitments according to articles 146, 147 and 148 of the agreement dealing with collective penalties, grave violations and the liabilities of the signatories. The resolution calls on all pertinent parties to follow up the implementation of the recommendations of the International Commission on Investigations in the human rights violations which took place during the struggle in Gaza in 2014 as well as 2009. It underscored the importance of holding the officials accountable of those violations through appropriate justice mechanisms being they local or international criminal and guarantee the right of all victims in fairness, including compensations.
