For the last two years, the following has been seen in Syria: the kidnapping of families, wide-scale assassinations, arbitrary arrests, the slaughtering of children, bloodbaths and the severance of the limbs of innocent people, collective massacres and daily carnage, the destruction of homes and mosques over the heads of their inhabitants and the worshipers, a bloody regime with an open appetite for murder, destruction and torture, the besieging of Syrian cities and towns with tanks, aircrafts and chemical weapons, an unlawful Baathist gang spreading death throughout the country, and a criminal regime coming up with new ways to slaughter and kill the innocent while the world is too cowardly to face it and end the tragedy of the Syrian people. Following the last Israeli strike against the Syrian regime, the Arab street vacillated. And when asked what they thought about this strike, some Arabs said that despite their hostility towards the Zionist (Israeli) entity as a criminal enemy and the occupier of an Arab land, which is killing and butchering the Palestinians, Al-Assad's regime was equally criminal and bloody. This is due to the fact that this regime has so far killed 70,000 Syrians and is still practicing its horrific acts. Therefore, while this strike was implemented by a criminal entity and an enemy, it targeted a criminal regime and an enemy. During the days of the Syrian revolution, mutilated faces were exposed, carrying false rejectionist slogans. In reality, the latter are defeatists in the face of the tyrants and drenched in blood, and one day will come when they will be sanctioned and excluded. I remember about a year ago, and during a phone intervention on the Syrian Television, Deputy Nariman al-Rousan stated: “The Jordanian people support Bashar al-Assad in his confrontation with the popular uprising," condemning any position by whichever Jordanian side or group in support of the demonstrators against Al-Assad's regime, stressing they did not represent the Jordanian people. This lady wronged the Jordanian people, even lied, considering that 83% of them support the Syrian revolution as per the published statistics and are interacting with the Syrian people and awaiting the victory of their revolution against a criminal regime. And a few days ago, Jordanian national Samih Khreis, the assistant general secretary of the Arab Lawyers Union, said during his visit to Damascus as quoted by the Syrian Television that a “large number of Jordanian lawmakers" support Al-Assad's steadfastness in the face of the “imperialistic project." This pushed the Jordanian first deputy parliament speaker, Khalil Attiya, to ask Khreis to reveal the names of the deputies supporting Bashar al-Assad's regime to elucidate the situation. There is a limited number of Jordanian deputies who support Al-Assad's regime, and some of them even visited Bashar and praised his resistance against the will of his people. But these few, among the supporters of the thugs and the reeking promoters of shameful positions, are considered partners in the shedding of the Syrian people's blood. There is no doubt that the latter deputies, their likes, those revolving in their space, and those adopting their positions are a source of shame for themselves and their families. Indeed, whoever supports a criminal regime that is slaughtering children, raping women and carrying out massacres, without feeling any shame, is the partner of the criminals by siding with them. One day, these people – who are the cause of great shame - will be judged by the Syrians and the Jordanians. During the last few days, those suffering a crisis among the nationalists and mouthpieces of the Syrian regime and its allies, tried to exploit the Israeli strike to defend Al-Assad's regime – not Syria – under the pretext of defending the Syrian people. They thus considered that whoever abstained from doing so was defeatist and collaborating with the Zionist project. The latter hypocrites lie a lot to maintain Al-Assad's regime in power, at the expense of the pure Syrian blood. If they have any credibility at the level of their slogans and Arab belonging, they should stand up against Al-Assad's massacres and announce a clear position, not one that is mixed with fake slogans. The Arab populations have become aware, and are not mere idle recipients, and they do not need the “braying" of Al-Assad's mouthpieces and informants who only offered the Arab nation lies and misleading slogans throughout decades. What is certain is that the revolution is still in a difficult stage and that this situation will persist as long as Washington and Moscow are fighting over the solution and Al-Assad's exit, while the Syrian people are being subjected to daily slaughter. America is still showing a pale face and a vacillating administration under Obama's command. Russia on the other hand is showing a face of “thuggery" and “Putinist" maliciousness, while defending and covering up the crimes committed by Al-Assad's regime, Iran and Hezbollah. In addition it is giving them a license to kill, at a time when the Arab governments are scattered, the nationalists are being misled and the Muslim Brotherhood organizations are changing their colors. What is certain is that during the last two months, Saudi Arabia became more energetic and more involved in the Syrian file in comparison with the past situation. It is supported in that effort by a unified Gulf position (except for the Sultanate of Oman), in addition to the support of Jordan, Libya, Tunisia and Morocco, in the face of a major retreat which affected the Egyptian position led by Muhammad Morsi and the MB Guide, after this position grew closer to that of the Iranian-Russian axis in the face of the Arab-Turkish axis.
