The Saudi non-oil goods exports have surged to SR176568 in 2011 compared with SR134610 in 2010, an increase of 31%. A report issued by the General Statistics and Information Department, copy of which was obtained by the Saudi Press Agency, said the exported weight in 2011 amounted to 48724 thousand tons compared with 46247 thousand tons in 2010, an increase of 5%. The department said the petrochemical products were among the most important exports in 2011 amounting to SR60948 representing 34%, followed by plastic products in the amount of SR53950 at 31%, then the foodstuffs in the amount of SR12605 representing 7%, the re-exported goods in the amount of SR24379 representing 14% and other goods amounting SR24686 representing 14%. China is the destination of most of those goods, the report said followed by UAE, Singapore, India.
